Department of Telecommunication, Information Studies, and Media at Michigan State University

Welcome to the eBusiness server in the College of Communication Arts, Michigan State University. This server mainly provides access to a small number of research project sites dealing with information technologies, particularly in business settings. In particular, the NSF-funded Vertical Industry Standards and Technology Adoption (VISTA) project is hosted on this server. Older, inactive projects are archived, including those listed on the research page and as well as pages from the 2007 Conference on Communities and Technologies. You can also connect to the archives of a prior NSF-funded project on Globally Distributed Engineering Design Teams that ran from 1998-2002.

For additional information relevant to work on information and communication technologies for business, please visit the web site for the Department of Telecommunication, Information Studies, and Media (TISM), which has just introduced a new undergraduate concentration in Information and Communication Technologies within a B.S. program in Media and Communication Technology. TISM also participates in a three-college specialization in Information Technology with Business and Engineering. offers programs at the undergraduate, masters and doctoral level. The department also offers a masters specialization in the "Management of Information Technology" in association with the deparment of Accounting and Information Systems in the Broad College of Business. Students who complete the speciatization will have a certification indicated on their academic transcript.
