Getting to MSU

MSU is very accessible to domestic and international travelers, through the Detroit Metropolitan Airport as well as Lansing's Capitol City Airport. Detroit Metro Airport is a 90 minute drive from MSU, and ground transportation services can be arranged. One convenient option from Detroit Airport to East Lansing is the Michigan Flyer shuttle service, which costs $25 each way. The trip takes roughly 2 hours, but the bus service has on-board WiFi to help pass the time. Please contact the Michigan Flyer service ahead of time to determine their shuttle schedule and make a reservation. We have confirmed that the driver will be able to drop passengers off at the Kellogg Center on arrival in East Lansing. (New: If they cannot drop you directly at Kellogg, please ask your driver to request that Kellogg send their shuttle van to pick you up from the dropoff point at the Marriott Hotel in East Lansing.) The Kellogg Center can also provide a short shuttle service to the normal Michigan Flyer departure location in East Lansing on your departure, if you plan to use this service to return to the Detroit Airport.

Detroit airport is a major hub for Northwest Airlines, providing direct global access through such partner airlines as KLM and Air France to many international cities. All other major US and many international carriers also fly through Detroit. Please also remember to check on connecting flights into Lansing's Capitol City Airport. Often you can find connecting flights into Lansing for almost the same price as a flight that ends in Detroit. Lansing's airport is a short 15 minute drive from the Kellogg Center, and has direct service to a number of other hub cities including Detroit, Chicago, Cinncinnati, Minneapolis, Atlanta, and Washington, D.C., through such airlines as Northwest, United, and Delta. Other airports within an hour's drive of MSU that offer national and international connections include the Grand Rapids and Flint airports.

For those driving to MSU, the Kellogg Center provides driving directions to the conference venue. All workshops and conference presentations will be held at the Kellogg Center. We've also provided detailed driving directions from Detroit Metropolitan Airport here.
